Child Check-In Process

At Harvest Bible Church we believe children are a blessing from the Lord! Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and loving environment to help them grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Your child’s safety is of the utmost importance to us. Please follow the guidelines below while checking in and out your child.

Check-In Steps:           Regular Attendees and New Attendees

1. Locate clipboard with your child’s name. Clipboard for Nursery is in the nursery. Clipboards for K-2 and 3-5 will be on the table in the lobby. Preschool clipboard will be on the table at the 9:00 service and it will be in the Preschool room at the 10:45 service.
2. Take a laminated number from the bucket in front of the clipboard. Please take a separate number for each color group that your children will be attending.
   1. Purple – Nursery
   2. Yellow – Preschool
   3. Green – Kindergarten through 2^nd grade
   4. Orange – 3^rd grade through 5^th grade
3. Fill in the number next to your child’s name(s) on the appropriate clipboard.
4. Fill in your initials in the “Parent’s Initials” box.
5. Fill in the time you are checking them in in the “Time In” box.
6. Place a check mark or “X” in the box for “Children’s Church” if your child will be going to Children’s Church and a check mark or “X” in the box for “Sunday School” if your child will be going to Sunday School.
7. Write your phone number in the “Contact Number” box if it doesn’t already appear.
8. Fill in any special request information we need to know about your child. For nursery, please circle yes or no for whether you allow the helpers to change your child’s diaper if necessary.
9. Take your child’s name badge with lanyard and have them put the badge around their neck. It is very important for the person who picks up your child to be listed on their badge. The teachers will check the badge to be sure you have given permission for that person to pick up and sign out your child if they do not yet know you. In the nursery a sticky name badge can be filled out and stuck to the back of their shirt.
10. If your child is new, the person behind the table will make a badge for your child to wear. We need to know your child’s name, grade, any allergies or medical conditions that we should be aware of, who is allowed to pick up your child, and a contact number in case we need to get hold of you during the time your child is in our care.

When you pick your child up:

1. Locate the clipboard that you signed your child in on.
2. Put the time you are signing them out in the “Time Out” box.
3. Sign your name in the “Sign Out Signature” box. (Really important!)
4. Place your number in the box next to the clipboard.
5. Place your child’s badge and lanyard into the same box.
